Christian Sorensen, MD., Ph.D.
Dr. Jens H. Sorensen is currently Associate Professor at the Department
of Neurosurgery, Aarhus Univerity Hospital and President and Scientific
Director of HistOtech ApS in Aarhus, Denmark. Dr. Sorensen earned
his M.D. in 1990 from Aarhus University and his Ph.D. and D.Msc. in
Neurobiology from Odense University. Winner of the Roche Research
Award from the Danish Neurological Association, Dr. Sorensen is the
principal investigator on the development of a multipurpose electrode
for deep brain stimulation in Parkinson’s disease. Additionally,
he is supervising research projects on basal ganglia disorders and
brain ischemia.
